“A man who is kind benefits himself,
 but a cruel man hurts himself.”
Proverbs 11:17

Disciples of Jesus are commanded to be kind to one another. Too often, our words are tinged with a cruel flavor and our actions cause suffering for someone else. This proverb offers some helpful insight that might turn some of our assumptions about kindness on its head.

I received a question about where I stand regarding the relationship between the Church and Israel. So here's a few of my thoughts about the issue and a few words of advice about how to approach the question for yourself.

Every Christian should be reading the Bible. And every Christian should be reading the Bible well. In this episode, I offer some advice for how to approach the task of Bible reading in a faithful and productive manner. 

With every new year comes an opportunity for new growth. Productivity gurus flood YouTube with help for tracking your habits, setting new goals, and journaling your progress. But the question that no random YouTuber could answer for you is this, “What should I do in 2026?” That’s a question that you need to answer. And as a Christian, your answer to that question should please God. I review four questions you can ask yourself to help determine what God wants from you in this new year.

Should we view our church as an organism or as an organization? How you define the church will decide how you participate in it. So, let's give some careful thought to how the church should function.
